ADOPTION FEE INCREASE JULY 1, 2008
Effective July 1, 2008, the fee to adopt a dog will increase to $70 plus the cost of the dog license. For any unaltered dogs that need to return to the shelter for spay/neuter surgery, the additional spay/neuter deposit of $30 remains the same.
MONTHLY CAT ADOPTIONS AT THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Every fourth Saturday of the month from 11 am to 3 pm, the Cleveland APL will be traveling to Valley View with some of their adoptable cats and kittens. If you're planning on adding a feline friend to your family, don't miss this opportunity to meet many wonderful kitties looking for a new home!
NO TIME TO TEACH NEW TRICKS? ADOPT A SENIOR PET!
Senior dogs still have plenty to offer--not the least of which is love. Senior pets bond very strongly with adopters. They seem to understand they have been giving another chance at a happy life and are grateful for the opportunity to love someone and be loved in return. Consider giving a senior a second chance. Instead of passing by older dogs, stop and spend some time with them--you may find the most wonderful companion possible!
Shelter Hours
Open Tues-Sat: 11 am - 5:30 pm
Closed Sundays and Mondays
If you love dogs, consider volunteering at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. By helping to walk, socialize, exercise, and play with our many adoptable dogs, your efforts go a long in keeping them happy and well-adjusted while they wait to be adopted into permanent homes. Our next volunteer orientation will be held Saturday September 20, 2008 from 8 to 10 am. Please contact Greg Willey, Volunteer Coordinator, at 216-525-4827 if you're interested! Thanks!

Find out more about me!
As featured on FOX8 TV with Dick Goddard Friday night, here is one of the lonely souls, looking for a good home. Call 216-525-4828 daily after 9am for current selection of dogs. The adoption fee is only $56, which includes license, vaccinations, spay/neuter & free dog food!
Show your support for saving shelter pets by ordering the new "Pet Friendly License Plate". Just a click away and $25 at www.petsohio.com. Be the first to acquire these plates for your vehicle and help Ohio's No More Homeless Pets Campaign.
By law, any monetary donations we receive go directly to our animals. Please remember to renew your dog license by Jan. 31st since it is our primary source of support.
What is the Dick Goddard Best Friends' Medical Relief Fund?
Best Friends Animal Society donated $5,000 to the shelter for a relief fund named after Fox News' Dick Goddard. It provides immediate care for injured dogs or sick puppies we find and hope to adopt. You can make a tax deductible donation too. Please contact Lesley DeSouza at 216-525-4813. |
