The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is open for adoptions from 11 am until 5:30 pm Tuesday-Saturday; closed Sunday (except by appointment) and Monday.

Updated 7-24-08. We have many more dogs and puppies available for adoption than are featured on our website. Please visit us in Valley View and meet all of our great dogs!

If you love dogs, consider volunteering at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. By helping to walk, socialize, exercise, and play with our many adoptable dogs, your efforts go a long in keeping them happy and well-adjusted while they wait to be adopted into permanent homes. 	Duncan - Kennel # 17 Duncan is a friendly 2 year-old Rottweiler male who looks like he's a rough life so far. He arrived at the shelter with fly-bitten ears and heartworms. If you'd like to make a donation to the shelter's Best Friends' Medical Relief Fund to help with his heartworm treatment, please call 216-525-4827 and speak to Greg Willey.
	Rex - Kennel # 18 Rex is a very friendly 4 year-old Walker Hound male who's eager to find a family to love. He's much happier out of his kennel and is a real sweetheart who loves attention. Rex is much more handsome than his photo suggests and is already neutered so he can move in with you today!
	Reno - Kennel # 19 Reno is a camera-shy 1 year-old Shepherd mix male. He's eager to relax and enjoy life outside of the shelter with a great new family and is sure to be a terrific new best friend!
	Jet - Kennel # 20 ADOPTED! Jet is a very sweet 5 year-old Cocker Spaniel male with a beautiful soft and shiny coat! Once you meet him, you'll have a hard time leaving the shelter without him! Featured on Goddard's Dogs July 11
	Shadow - Kennel # 21 Shadow is a super-sweet 7 year-old German Shepherd mix male with a wonderful personality. He acts housetrained and is an easy-going guy on the leash! Shadow is already neutered and ready to move in with you today!
	Sadie - Kennel # 22 Sadie is a pretty 3 year-old Shepherd mix female who's very quiet and well-mannered in her kennel. She's a little timid meeting new people but is looking forward to relaxing and enjoying life more when she's adopted by a nice family. Sadie is already spayed and ready to move in with you today!
	Bodie - Kennel # 24 Bodie is a very handsome 1 and 1/2 year-old Collie mix with interesting markings. Once look into those beautiful eyes and you'll be hooked! Featured on Goddard's Dogs July 18
	Baxter - Baxter has been diagnosed with heartworms.
