FOURTH ANNUAL ADOPTATHON MAY 6-10, 2008
Mark your calendars now for our Fourth Annual Adoptathon scheduled for Be Kind to Animal's Week this year. The shelter will be open late with extended hours until 8:30 pm Tuesday through Friday, May 6-9 and will continue through Saturday May 10 from 11 am to 5:30 pm. In addition to finding great homes for all of our wonderful dogs, refreshments will be available each evening along with a raffle of great gift baskets donated by friends of the shelter. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the shelter's Dick Goddard Best Friends' Medical Fund to care for the many sick and injured dogs that come through our doors. This year's goal is $10,000 and a new home for every dog in the shelter! The raffle prize drawings will be held on Sat May 10 at 5 pm. Hope to see you at the shelter in May!
MONTHLY CAT ADOPTIONS AT THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Every fourth Saturday of the month from 11 am to 3 pm, the Cleveland APL will be traveling to Valley View with some of their adoptable cats and kittens. If you're planning on adding a feline friend to your family, don't miss this opportunity to meet many wonderful kitties looking for a new home!
NO TIME TO TEACH NEW TRICKS? ADOPT A SENIOR PET!
Senior dogs still have plenty to offer--not the least of which is love. Senior pets bond very strongly with adopters. They seem to understand they have been giving another chance at a happy life and are grateful for the opportunity to love someone and be loved in return. Consider giving a senior a second chance. Instead of passing by older dogs, stop and spend some time with them--you may find the most wonderful companion possible!
