A note on adopting a senior dog...

Most people who walk through our doors are unwilling to adopt an older dog. However, these forgotten pets can offer years of love and affection to their new families. Often already trained, their gentle and quiet dispositions are perfect for seniors looking for companionship or professionals with little time for training a puppy. "Spike" is a personal favorite and needs a special family to take him home. He has brought joy to our staff and volunteers. We wish him the opportunity to bring joy to others. Thank you! Greg Willey, Adoption Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator

Woof, woof, and hello! My name is Spike!

I am an 8 year-old Chocolate Lab mix. I am a very friendly dog. I already went through my teething stage. I love car rides and playing fetch. I once had an owner but then I got lost. What I'm looking for in a home is a backyard to play in, a loving family, good food, clean water, and lots of toys to play with. Please come pick me up at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter cause I really want a home.
